Palatine Council No. 89
The first District Team visit of the 2023/2024 season took place on the 19th October 2023 at the Installation Meeting of Palatine Council. The venue for the Installation Meeting of Palatine Council is the Wyrebank Masonic Hall at Garstang and on a wet October evening a goodly number of Allied Masons assembled in the bar area for a welcome cup of warming coffee.
At 5.45 pm. The brethren assembled in the Lodge Room for a 6.00 o’clock start. The Council was opened by Brother Stuart L. Brackstone, Worshipful Master and Items of an administrative nature was attended to. On a report the District Director of Ceremony announced that the District Grand Prefect and his District Team was outside the door of the Council. The Worshipful Master said the Council would be pleased to receive them.
The District Team entered the Council and took their seats, the District Grand Prefect occupied the Masters Chair and introduced his District Team. The District Grand Prefect vacated the chair in favour of the Worshipful Master.
The next item on the agenda was to ballot for as an Honorary Member Right Worshipful Brother Douglas John Forster Past Grand Junior Warden, this was carried.
 
The next item was the Introduction, reception an admission into the Order of Worshipful Brothers Frank Hogarth and Harry Robinson Ceremony conducted by Very Worshipful Brother Geoff Catterall Past Grand Registrar and they were welcomed to the Order by the District Grand Prefect.
The next item was the Installation of Worshipful Brother Eric Picton whose first task was to Invest the appointed and elected officers for the ensuing year.
Greetings were given by the District Grand Prefect and he and the District Team retired.
 
After a pre-dinner drink we were called to the dining room for a splendid two course dinner. Allied Degree toasts seem to be just the right length as do the responses and soon we were on our way home. Another excellent evening of Allied Masonry apart from the rain.
